Thank you for your interest in Learning Communities at Old Dominion University! ODU offers three types of communities — Impact, Living-Learning, and Theme Communities. Use this form to share your interests, and we’ll connect you with the next steps to officially join. Welcome to the Monarch family!
Impact Learning Communities are groups of students who connect their coursework to their majors, career goals, and broader interests. ILC students take two or more linked courses together, and the communities are open to both on- and off-campus students. Learn more: https://www.odu.edu/ails/impact-learning-communities
Living-Learning Communities offer students the opportunity to live and engage with peers who share similar academic, professional, or co-curricular interests. Participation requires enrollment in designated courses and living on campus. Learn more: https://www.odu.edu/career-leadership/living-learning-theme-communities
Theme Communities allow students to live and engage with peers around a shared theme or topic of interest. These communities offer educational and social events that support deeper exploration of the theme, and participation requires living on campus.
