Salary Equity Self-Identification Form

Salary Equity Self-Identification Form

The University defines salary equity as salary differentials arising from conscious or unconscious discriminatory practices on the basis of gender or race.

For Instructional Faculty, a similarly situated peer is one who is similar in type of degree, year the degree was conferred, department, rank, year tenured, or years of experience at ODU. For Instructional Faculty, the comparator must be in the same department.

For Administrative and Professional Faculty, a similarly situated peer is an employee in a position with substantially similar core duties, comparable institutional role level, and similar scope of responsibility. Relevant considerations may include functional area, supervisory duties, budget or program responsibility, decision-making authority, required qualifications, and organizational impact. Title alone does not establish a similarly situated peer relationship.

Submitting this form requests a review under the University’s salary equity process. Submission does not guarantee that a salary adjustment or other change will be made.
